This is a bit of a 'throwback' blogpost. I visited Cambridge back in June, which feels so long ago. I have a friend who I reconnected with through instagram after losing contact for many years. She is super spontaneous and very keen to travel, she suggested going to Cambridge for the day to go 'punting' and I was up for exploring somewhere new. I did my research, which made me all the more excited for it. I made the travel arrangements and a rather ambitious itinerary (sometimes it goes off schedule). We gotten the fast train from King's Cross, which took just under an hour. The weather was beautiful. It was a glorious 23 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky and...guess what I was wearing? A grey and back outfit and as you can imagine I was a sweaty mess. Typical outfit choice.

Saturday, 7 July 2012 • arctic monkeys, concerts 2011, george craig, o2 arena, one night only, photography, xoyo venue
It feels a bit old talking about this now but I wanted to write about these two great concerts I went to last year :) My friend chose a band she really wanted to see, which was Arctic Monkeys and I chose one I wanted to too, so it was equal. I really wanted to see One Night Only the most! They're my favourite band. I love their songs, favourite is 'Chemistry.' When I saw on their website that they were playing in London at the XOYO venue, I jumped into the chance! Tickets were quite cheap too, they were only £12.50 - bargain! I think it's because it is a small venue, not like the O2 Arena for instance. But it was a really great night, loved every song they played, including their new ones - Games and Long Time Coming. I think I actually saw George once on Oxford Street! But wasn't really sure if that was really him and he was walking really fast, but I liked his dress sense. I just remember just staring like a weird person. Anyway, I would really love to see them live again! I think I prefer the smaller venues than the large ones. For starters I didn't get crushed in the crowd.
One Night Only at XOYO 2011:
The pictures above is of George Craig, lead guitar and vocals. My favourite picture I took from the gig! (Too bad someone's head was in the way at the left hand corner). This is the ONO drumkit! Taken by a lovely Italian girl we met :) I love George's leather jacket, I think it is from Burberry and also his patterned green shirt.

Thursday, 5 July 2012 • fashion photography, jens ingvarsson, nastya kusakina, photography
Jens Ignvarsson is my new favourite photographer, I just recently discovered his work. It was mostly of these photographs I've seen floating about on via tumblr of model Nastya Kusakina photographed in a lovely cherry blossom background. In some of the pictures, I think looks like an older version of Dakota/Elle Fanning. These photos below are some of my favourites of his work that I'm influenced by. I love the subtle tones from the black and white photos, with the cherry blossom background, I like the innocence in which it represents within the soft pastel colours. Check out her tumblr and website.
Sunday, 1 July 2012 • blank magazine, editorials, fashion, nature, photography
I found these photographs saved on my old desktop and did some googling to find out who took them because they are really beautiful. Later on, luckily I found out that it's starring Zen Sevastyanova photographed by Paul de Luna in Meliae for Blank Magazine. What caught my eye is that I really love the double exposure techniques edited on these editorial photographs. I think they illustrate emphasis an of mother nature within the natural environment of these shots and the soft cyan colours creates a subtle and serene concept and overall mood.
Sunday, 12 February 2012 • photography, snow
It's February now and it was snowing in London! It was like Christmas all over again. I took some photographs whilst on my way to work, I love bits of snow scattered around places. I think it creates lovely textures.

I love snow inspired photography. Here are some inspirational images I found, via flickr. I think they're beautiful, serene and subtle.
All images are linked to the photographer's flickr page :)
Happy new year!
Tuesday, 27 December 2011 • london street style, photography
I know I have sort of abandoned this blog for some time... but I am getting back into blogging on this site.
Last month, I went on the streets of Oxford Street to take pictures of London street style for my Topshop live project. The picture of the girl's outfit in the middle row (right hand side) is my favourite, which my friend spotted her outfit for me. I just loved her Arctic Monkeys shirt (hence me and my friend were heading to the concert in the evening!) the leather jacket, the long velvet and the Dr.Marten shoes was an overall unique and edgy look. I think she was wearing a satchel too, which adds a vintage touch to her outfit. Here are the photographs I took:

Doing street style photography was definitely something new. I've never walked up to people and asked for a photograph before...luckily no one said no!
Monday, 29 August 2011 • florals, flowers, kew gardens, nature, photography
These are some of the pictures I took at Kew Gardens to see the colourful Orchid Exhibit. I think the first picture is my favourite. Hope you like these :-)
Saturday, 27 August 2011 • black and white, dark room, photography, pinhole, polaroids
When I was at sixth form, I did photography for enrichment and I remember doing pinhole photography which was really cool and fun :-) It's really unusual to use take a photo without having the use of a camera! But it felt quite like a novelty to me. If only I had a dark room! Ah. That would be so fab.
Hope you like these :-)
