Sue Timney and the design of Timney-Fowler

Thursday, 24 March 2011

It's been so long since I last posted...
I saw this exhibition at  he Fashion & Textiles Museum on 'Sue Timney and the design of Timney-Fowler.' It was for my knit project, so I decided to miss my lecture for it. Well it was worth it. I heard the lecture was in World War II (?!) *shakes head* waste of time.
This was a really great exhibition. The room was filled with black and white striped walls, it looked bold and quite...eclectic. Her sketchbook work from the Royal College of Art was so inspiring, so much prints! It was like she trying to translate something with a historic concept into contemporary fashion. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking :).

Debenhams Press Show Spring/Summer 2011

Sunday, 2 January 2011

Happy 2011 everyone :) First post of the new year.
I was invited to go to the Debenhams Press Show in November (only just posting this now coz I'm slow).
It had a lot to do with this Debenhams contest I entered for polyvore, I was quite surprised I got 5th place, I didn't think I'd even be in the top 6, but I was really pleased.
I've taken a lot of pictures of the collections for spring/summer 2011, I really loved gawking at all the clothes. Henry Holland's H! Collection was my favourite. Lovely dresses, shorts and cardigans. Also loved Matthew William and John Rocha's collections!

This is my set which I entered in the contest:

That Paramore Concert...

Saturday, 18 December 2010

The one where me and Charlotte went to that Paramore Concert in November...
As soon as I heard Paramore were playing in London for extra dates, I had to see them! I'm such a huge fan. I actually found out about them on the...twilight soundtrack embarassingly, haha. But this led to find out what an actual great band they are.
It was a really great live show, even though I got annoyed with the live guests. I just wanted Paramore to come on! They eventually did after B.O.B performed Airplanes. Hayley was really A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I got so excited when she turned up, with pink hair! It was definitely not disappointing at all!
I'd definitely see them again. They'd be worth every penny :)
Here are some pictures. My stupid digital camera could not zoom in further than 3 zoom, argh.
I think it'd be quite cool to be a concert photographer, haha :)

This is when the crowd started to build up:
The Paramore t-shirt we brought. Check out those patterns! Officially my favourite tee :)

Hayley finally turned up...in pink hair! Whilst performing with B.O.B's Airplanes, the crowd went crazy :)

I have these obsession with Polaroids.

I liked capturing what was on the screens:
